Extra-Legal vehicles or loads, other than LVCs, cannot operate between the hours of 12 p.m. (noon) to 9 p.m., EXCEPT that an OW only vehicle/load weighing < 110,000 lbs., and capable of maintaining a minimum speed of 40 mph on flat and 30 mph on grade, and not in excess of any other dimension is not subject to the Holiday restriction (See 2 CCR 601-4, Chapter 4, 400.1).

LVCs are PROHIBITED from operatiing on Monday, July 4, 2011, Independence Day (24 hours from 12:01 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. midnight).
